Dotmov Festival 2013 Call For Entry

SHIFT is calling for entries for the DOTMOV FESTIVAL 2013, a digital film festival. The deadline is August 20th, 2013!

DOTMOV Festival 2013 aiming to discover talented creators and provide them with an opportunity to show their works. Works submitted from all over the world will be screened throughout the world venues from November 2013 (screening schedule will be different depending on the venue). Last year’s total submission was 194 works from 16 countries.

In addition to the general category as before, “ELEKINESIS VA” MV category is added in collaboration with the event “Elekinesis”
organized by the Sapporo based label “SenSe” which introduces criatives such as music and art this year.

Shift is holding DOTMOV 2012 again this year. The best 13 videos will  be screened around the world!
DOTMOV is a digital film festival aiming to discover talented creators and provide them with an opportunity to show their talents and works. It Started in 2003, and this year is DOTMOV’s 10th anniversary. This year’s total submission of works is 194, coming from 16 different countries. The 13 works have been selected by the guest judges. The Screening of these videos on the websites and venues around the world is from November, 2012.

DOTMOV is a digital film festival organized by online magazine "SHIFT", aiming to discover unknown talented creators and provide an opportunity to show their works. They had a total of 237 works from 26 countries this year, and an excellent 11 works among them were selected by guest judges. All the selected works are also presenteded on their website.
This year’s festival will take place in several cities in Japan and oversea during the whole month of November, 2010.

DOTMOV, a digital film festival aiming to discover talented creators and provide them with an opportunity to show their works. Works submitted from all over the world will be screened throughout the world venues from November 2010 (screening schedule will be different depending on the venue). Last year’s total submission was 264 works from 30 countries.

Shift and guest creators will select works to show at the event from all those that arrive before the deadline, September 10th, 2010.

Online magazine SHIFT presents DOTMOV Festival 2009, a digital film festival aiming to discover talented creators and provide them with an opportunity to show their works. Works submitted from all over the world will be screened throughout the world venues from November 2009 (screening schedule will be different depending on the venue). Last year’s total submission was 289 works from 37 countries. The tour schedule will be announced on the website.

Festival Mission
The goal of DOTMOV is to discover talented artists and provide them with an opportunity to show their work. We are also trying to increase the international scope of the festival by inviting guest creators, active on the front lines of the creative world, to participate as judges. During the festival, holding a lot of related audio & visual events, we explore the possibility of digital films.

OUTLINE for Submission
ENTRY: May 15th – September 10th, 2009
WORKS TO SUBMIT: The work should be digital film works such as animation, design or music clip.
FEES/AWARDS: Submission is free. Any money for film production or prizes are not given.
JUDGE: Feed Deutschland, Jiro Ohashi (SAL magazine), Ian Anderson (The Designers Republic),
Yoshi Sodeoka (c505), Sugarcube, Motion Theory
